We're staying with our uncle and cousin in the city, so they've been taking us to all of the local markets!

We tried to go to the observatory in Taipei 101, but it was closed due to the impending typhoon - we'll come back another time!

Steel cable fetus - made from a few spools of retired elevator cable!

Alex with the Formosa bus :D

Stopped at the famous Din Tai Fung in the Taipei 101 Mall

Cold bamboo shoots - a new experience - very refreshing

A look into their kitchens!

They have a HUGE set of underground malls that are connected to the Taipei Main Station (metro, high speed rail, etc)

Within these malls, they have just open spaces to meet, and even mirrored floors for dance practice - very impressive

There is a Japanese celebration coming up, and there were just young people drawing and sketching on this open wall!

He's ready :3

Local boba!

Tim's elementary school!

A typical classroom! (Class 102)

One of these things is not like the others...

A cozy little ice cream shop in the local park!

A totally different view off of the same roof!

An original "bao" (read: baohaus)

We walked around the night markets for the rest of the night in the rain, where we had some local foods!

A quick look at Taipei 101 from the street!

That was about it for the night! We promptly got back and passed out! More to come soon!
