I know it's been forever since I last actually posted pictures... sorry... school has really been a bit overwhelming... but I went to the Miramar Airshow last weekend... the traffic was horrible getting onto the base and off... even though we waited until the twilight show started... but here are the pictures...
I went mainly for the blue angels, because the past years I've always missed them for some reason...
It's pretty amazing at how close they are to each other... My brother did some research and said 18" minimum.

like I mentioned, the traffic heading off the base was horrible as well as getting on, so we resorted to just randomly taking pictures of the sunset :D it was very pretty
